I fiddled with the Ruby settings and such and upgraded Redmine to the SVN-version, which will make updating easier and the locally installed ruby gems (and the system ones) are loaded properly.
The only bugger that refused to honor the gemrc and other respective files for GEM_PATH and GEM_HOME environment variables was... cPanel's Mongrel! The blasted thing refused to start, claiming that Rails wasn't at the required 2.3.5 (which was the localy installed version, system had the 2.3.3). I got around this by googling for a startup script, which did the job perfectly.
I might do a cron script to watch for the Mongrel status and restart when needed (or just e-mail me about the fact that, yes... something happened and Mongrel went offline).
The Dreaded MooWoW
I've been lately trying to implement support for an image based signature creation, with no actual results. This is most likely due to the fact that I have an annoying cold and can't be arsed to do stuff because I am either tired or just can't give a damn...
Though, the currently deployed version has worked perfectly and I might even say that the modifications to the code made the whole thing a lot faster as compared with the first release.
Yet more site related crap (bear with me, pun intended)
The usual layout crap, blog needs some tweaks regarding the frontpage title (might even make a hack for it if needed and by hack I, in most of the cases, mean a dirty piece of code that is prone to breaking but does it's job moderately).
_Might_ add a contact section at somepoint in the future (yeah, after I finish the 2 DLCs I have not yet completed in Borderlands aaand after the daily WoW routines). In other words: Soon™
